I found her even more beautiful when she was pregnant and I found her more beautiful as she aged. ### What went wrong? I was ignorant. My wife picked up on it at a work party. She asked me outright who this new employee was. She was some woman from the back office, and I rarely interacted with her. Our paths had no reason to cross. I didn't think about her or start conversations with her. But that night my wife noticed the way *she* looked at me. She came onto me slowly, a smile here and a laugh there when I walked past. Suddenly she was friendly with more people on my floor. Then she would 'randomly' pass by the cafe where I had lunch. My colleagues would invite her to sit with us and she always ended up sitting next to me or taking the elevator up in the morning. It was a slow drip. **Still, I wasn't interested in her and oblivious to her intentions. Had I noticed or listened to my wife would things be different? I doubt it.** I think about a year later I noticed she was gently touching me on my shoulder or patting my chest when she 'laughed' assuring me I was funny. I reminded her a few times I was happily married. She would laugh 'You don't think I am interested in you? Or 'You are funny, who is happily married?' I would shift away and ignore her. **I started to avoid the lunch crew, but then she would pop up in other places.** In retrospect, she was a classic stalker, but I wasn't scared. It was annoying, but she was fantastic with the flattery. And after months and months of telling me how great I am, I started to purr. We had a work trip, about ten of us. She was genuinely there for work. I told my wife that she was coming. I never kept secrets, I didn't need to because I loved her. We all sat at the bar after the meetings and started to drink. Half the people went to bed early and a few of us remained and did shots. It got late and she asked if I could walk her to her room. I was drunk but my intent was to ensure she was safely inside her room. And that's when she fell onto me at the door and kissed me with a passion that took my breath away. It was an intoxicating kiss and I was already drunk. I told her this was never going anywhere, and then she seduced me, I can't go into details, but I was hooked. My wife found out because I told her. I destroyed my marriage and my beautiful family life. The woman? Gone. Fired for misconduct, it turns out I wasn't the only one, just the one who didn't think she was harassing me in that way. It lasted a few months, I felt guilty and honestly, I wasn't enjoying myself. My wife won't take me back.
