From CEO to Meme: Andy Byron & Kristin Cabot's Kiss Cam Reveal.

Without knowing any details of this relationship, I have to ask myself what they were thinking? Many will say they weren't, but I am calling BS on this

Maybe you can suggest what were they thinking?

It's already viral across all media and on all platforms. Andy Byron, now the infamous ex CEO of Astronomer and his colleague Kristin Cabot, CPO aka HR, were caught at Coldplay in an embrace on the Kiss Cam. Kristin immediately hides her face and Andy drops to the ground, whilst Chris Martin jokingly suggests they are either shy or having an affair. It's awkward.

Had they not reacted like this, their affair would probably still be a 'secret'. Nobody would have posted it.

It's a video that should be taken down for the sake of his wife and kids, but we know how it goes. If you want to watch the 'busted' moment, search for it.

I had to take a few moments to read up on these two and Reddit has provided me with some giggles over my morning coffee. Reddit thinks very little of Andy, and provided some insight on the crowd's feelings towards him, it's quite tame. They have decided he is crap in bed, lasts two minutes, which many a man has told me recently is a good innings with them. People are laughing at these two. Ex-employees are commenting that he was a nightmare to work with and fired people who disagreed with him. Will we ever know the truth? I doubt it.

His wife has closed all media accounts and the sympathy has been exactly where it should be.

Reddit comments all agree tech bro's make mean bosses, and Andy's trousers are ironed whilst Kristin seems to be relatively unscathed. There is a fake letter of apology circulating from Andy, and he has had to shut down his LinkedIn account. There is another Andy Byron whose post has gone viral. 'I'm the Andy Byron who makes videos for big screens, not the one who gets caught on them.'

No, this isn't me. I wouldn't be caught dead at a Coldplay concert... I'm the Andy Byron who makes videos for big screens, not the one who gets caught on them. Astronomer fired Andy and removed Kristin's hired post from 2024. Someone once told me there is no such thing as bad publicity. Let's see how they benefit from this scandal.

Andy Byron, married for now, and father of two.

Without knowing any details of this relationship, I have to ask myself what they were thinking? Many will say they weren't, but I am calling BS on this. We live in a world where every single one of us is caught on someone else's feed. I experienced this years ago, when a cousin of mine called to ask me how my coffee was on a Sunday morning. His IG feed showed someone's reel about an amazing croissant, and I was coming out of the place holding my cup. They both made a conscious decision to make their affair public and that shows you who they are and how little they cared about getting caught. They work in tech for heaven's sake.

Kristen Cabot, Chief People Officer (HR) at Astronomer knows very well that office romances are not allowed. Not only did she ignore her role within the company, but she also showed how unethical and lacking in morals she is. She knowingly had an affair with a married man with two children. (Watch the TV show Cheaters, you can't believe how many lie about not being married.) It's unclear what Kristin's status is.

I would love to hear her reasoning on how she went from office romance to Kiss Cam. It's the makings of a great podcast episode. I wonder if it will damage her career and if Andy will be out of work for a few months, and then back to being a CEO.

Some people are laughing about these two, others are saying it's not OK for the world to comment and repost, but I believe it's time we stop appeasing bad behaviour. When you go out in public like that, the message is clear: you don't care, and you are no longer hiding your affair, and for me, that makes you fair game for social media. I think these two wanted to get caught, just not so publicly.

Sadly, Andy's wife found out about this affair with the rest of the world and has since closed all her social media accounts.

I hope the press are kind to his family, and avoid putting them through more than they are already coping with. I hope she moves on to a life where she is cherished and adored, and the kids realise it was never personal, just brazenly public.
